READ: Revelation 2:2-5 "I know all the things you do. I have seen your hard work and your patient endurance I know you don't tolerate evil people. You have examined the claims of those who say they are apostles but are not. You have discovered they are liars. You have patiently suffered for me without quitting.
But I have this complaint against you. You don't love me or each other as you did at first! look how far you have fallen! Turn back to me and do the works you did at first. If you don't repent, I will come and remove your lamp stand from it's place among the churches."
Do you remember what it was like when you first fell in love? You wanted to BE WITH that person constantly. The person you loved was all you ever thought about.
After time.... that loving feeling can grow cold, routine, and mundane. The very same thing can happen in our relationship with Jesus Christ if we are not careful. We can be so ON FIRE and IN LOVE with Him when we first get saved.... then as time progresses .... we can fall out of love with Him. It could be that we are still doing work for His Kingdom. As a matter of fact, we could be EXTREMELY BUSY "doing His work" - so much so that we fall out of R-E-L-A-T-I-O-N-S-H-I-P with Him.
If you find this is you - repent of this today and turn back to your first love. He is not the one who has moved away.
It's very hard to have a relationship with someone when it is one sided. It takes two to make it work. Having Jesus means having someone who inspires you to be better, strengthens you supernaturally, loves you unconditionally, counsels you in wisdom, corrects you in love, and comforts you when your hurting. He will be your confidant, very BEST FRIEND and love of your life!!
WHAT A FRIEND WE HAVE IN JESUS - ALL OUR SINS AND GRIEFS TO BEAR
WHAT A PRIVELEDGE TO CARRY EVERYTHING TO GOD IN PRAYER!!
Spend some time telling Jesus how much you love him and want a relationship with him - close and personal more than ever before.
