You Are More Important Than The Sparrows

READ:  Matthew 10:28-33   Don't be afraid of those who want to kill your body; they cannot touch your soul. Fear only God, who can destroy both soul and body in hell.  What is the price of two sparrows - one copper coin?  But not a single sparrow can fall to the ground without your Father knowing it.  And the very hairs on your head are all numbered.  So don't be afraid; you are more valuable to God than a whole flock of sparrows.

Everyone who acknowledges me publicly here on earth, I will also acknowledge before my Father in heaven.  But everyone who denies me here on earth, I will also deny before my Father in heaven.

In the spring time I get so tired of the birds!  Don't get me wrong, I love to hear them sing and I love their dear little nests full of babies with no feathers.   (so cute!)    What I get upset with is their POOP and building those nests in my wreaths I make for my doors.      They seem to be everywhere when the weather turns nice.   The Word of God for today tells us that God our Father knows of every sparrow.      But do you know that YOU are more important to God than the sparrows?     You are so important and He knows so much about you that he even knows how many hairs are on your head (or how many aren't there!).       The point is that HE KNOWS YOU!

He desires you to KNOW Him too.   He wants a R-E-L-A-T-I-O-N-S-H-I-P with you.  He wants you to call him your Savior and Lord of your life --- He earned that title when He died for you on the cross.   Jesus himself told us in the Word that if we deny Him here on earth - the Father in heaven will deny us.     And likewise, if we publicly acknowledge Jesus here on earth - the Father in heaven will acknowledge us.

Ask yourself - are you willing to deny Christ (in front of friends, co-workers, family).    Are you ashamed of Him?     If your answer is yes, he will be ashamed of you.   Publicly announce that you are the Lords today - make him #1 in your life, in your heart, and strive to grow your R-E-L-A-T-I-O-N-S-H-I-P with Him.

If you’ve fallen away from God - you are the one who has moved.... He is still there WAITING on you to come back to Him.
