Cast Your Cares On Him

READ:   Philippians 4:19 This same God who takes care of me will supply all your needs from his glorious riches, which have been given to us in Christ Jesus.

Life can be hard and sometimes thing happen that get us into a place where we feel sorry for ourselves.    I remember years ago when I was very sick and I seemed to think at times like I was the only one. I would look at my friends in their late 20's and early 30's and they were living active, full lives, going places and raising their children - and I felt like I could barely make it through the day.  I wasn't able to think about tomorrow or the future.... I only had strength for that given day.  It was a very dark, lonely time in my life and it lasted for 10 years.    One day in the midst of the suffering - I began to look around me and it was like God opened my eyes.  I was able to see that EVERYONE was carrying something.    For some they were struggling with the health of a child or a parent, for others their struggle was finances, for others their marriage was falling apart.    I began to understand that everyone is carrying something that to them is TOO HEAVY TO BEAR.

Cast your cares on the LORD and he will sustain you; he will never let the righteous be shaken. Psalm 55:22

I am reminded of how Simon of Cyrene helped Jesus to carry his cross to Golgotha.   Even Jesus needed that help.   Our Christian friends can certainly help us to carry burdens.  I had a great friend, Bridget, who at the time helped to carry my burdens and pray for me.    But even with Bridget, my family and my husband - there were many days where I was lonely and the ONLY ONE WHO COULD LIFT ME UP WAS JESUS!       I have found Jesus to be THE ONE that I cannot be without.

What are you going through, dear friend?    Are you carrying a cross that is too heavy to bear?   Jesus is calling out to you today to lay it down and let Him pick it up.    He is saying to you, "I will supply ALL your needs!"   Whatever your needs are - your heavenly Father, He's got it and He's got you!!!!  <3
