READ: Romans 8:1-2 So now there is no condemnation for those who belong to Christ Jesus. And because you belong to him, the power of the life-giving Spirit has freed you from the power of sin that leads to death.
If you have trusted in Jesus - the Word of God tells us that we no longer live in condemnation. This does not mean that we no longer mess up and sin.... as Christians we still at times can mess up and sin (although we are to be striving to be perfect as Christ is perfect). But when we mess up and do something that we know is wrong - we ask forgiveness and we can rest in the fact that we are forgiven - condemnation no longer comes from God towards us. That is sometimes a very hard thing to understand because we can have a tendency to punish ourselves. I believe this internal personal punishment can cause us not to walk in the fullness of what Christ has given us. For example - it is Christ's will for us to be healthy and blessed, but if we committed a sin yesterday, or did something that we know we shouldn't have - we can have a condemning feeling that we are not worthy to receive the blessings of Christ. I believe this is a very big thing that satan tries very hard to lay on a believer to hold them back and keep them in bondage.
Notice the scripture above says - so NOW there is no condemnation. This means that RIGHT NOW in this present age - we are no longer condemned.
