No Longer Condemned

READ:  Romans 8:1-2 So now there is no condemnation for those who belong to Christ Jesus. And because you belong to him, the power of the life-giving Spirit has freed you from the power of sin that leads to death.

If you have trusted in Jesus - the Word of God tells us that we no longer live in condemnation.  This does not mean that we no longer mess up and sin.... as Christians we still at times can mess up and sin (although we are to be striving to be perfect as Christ is perfect).    But when we mess up and do something that we know is wrong - we ask forgiveness and we can rest in the fact that we are forgiven - condemnation no longer comes from God towards us.    That is sometimes a very hard thing to understand because we can have a tendency to punish ourselves.  I believe this internal personal punishment can cause us not to walk in the fullness of what Christ has given us. For example - it is Christ's will for us to be healthy and blessed, but if we committed a sin yesterday, or did something that we know we shouldn't have - we can have a condemning feeling that we are not worthy to receive the blessings of Christ.  I believe this is a very big thing that satan tries very hard to lay on a believer to hold them back and keep them in bondage.

Notice the scripture above says - so NOW there is no condemnation.   This means that RIGHT NOW in this present age - we are no longer condemned.

Now lets talk about the unbeliever.  If you are reading this and you know full well that you never accepted Jesus as your Savior and Lord - he may be drawing you and drawing you hard but you have never said YES and you don't strive to live according to his ways - is there condemnation for you right now?

"For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him.  Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because they have not believed in the name of God's one and only Son," John 3:17-18

Yes - for those who do not know Jesus as Savior they are condemned.     This isn't God's plan.... but its your choice.     Is this the choice you want to live with or are you ready to accept him?     The choice is yours...

Dear Jesus - THANK YOU for forgiving me of my sin. I do believe that you are the very son of God and that you died for me and rose again. I believe that you are seated at the right hand of God the Father and you are interceding for me each day. I thank you that because of YOU and YOU ALONE I am no longer condemned.  Help me to walk in the fullness of what you have for me here on earth.  Your Kingdom come- your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.  Thank you that I am NOW no longer condemned.    Amen & Amen.
