READ: Proverbs 18:20 You will have to live with the consequences of everything you say. What you say can preserve life or destroy it; so you must accept the consequences of your words.
Our words have POWER! What I speak to you could build you up and encourage you, OR what I say could tear you down, hurt you, and bring you to tears. Our words hold that kind of power.
There was an experiment done using cooked white rice. Equal amounts were put into 3 jars and capped. The one jar was the control, another was the jar that had "I LOVE YOU" spoken to it each day, and the third jar had the words "I HATE YOU" spoken to it. It's amazing the outcome:
It is amazing to see how rotten and full of bacteria the "I HATE YOU" jar of rice became at 50 days and yet how perfectly good the "I LOVE YOU" rice stayed!!! Our words contain either faith or unbelief. Life or death. Check yourself to make sure you are using words that are faith filled words. And don't forget too - the Bible is full of faith-filled words... make sure you are proclaiming the word of God over your life and situations everyday!
A good person produces good things from the treasury of a good heart, and an evil person produces evil things form the treasury of an evil heart. Matthew 12:35
