Anxiously Awaiting

READ:  1 Thessalonians 4:16-18 For the Lord himself will come down from heaven, with a loud command, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet call of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first.  After that, we who are still alive and are left will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so we will be with the Lord forever. Therefore encourage one another with these words.

I anxiously await the day when the sky parts, the trumpet sounds, and Jesus takes us (Christ followers) home.   I think the older that I get the more ready I am for that glorious day.  The aches, pains, and heartaches that we experience here will pale in compassion to our amazing eternity with Jesus.

At the same time that I look forward to this day - I am also afraid.  Not for myself but for my lost friends and family who will be left behind.   Only those who accept Jesus as Savior of their lives will be raptured to be with the Lord - the rest will remain to face some very hard times!    "Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me", John 14:6.  It is impossible to go to heaven without accepting Jesus.

We will ALL bow before Jesus someday:  "God also has highly exalted Him and given Him the name which is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, and of those on earth, and of those under the earth, and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father", Philippians 2:9-11   I pray that those I love would willingly bow before Jesus  now.... before it's too late.

If you don't know Jesus as your personal Savior - and you are ready to do this or even if you have questions, please use the form on this website to get ahold of me!  I'd be honored to pray with you.
