God Of The Hills And Valleys

READ:   Psalms 84:5-7   What joy for those whose strength comes form the LORD, who have set their minds on a pilgrimage to Jerusalem.  When they walk through the Valley of Weeping, it will become a place of refreshing springs.  The autumn rains will clothe it with blessings.  They will continue to grow stronger, and each of them will appear before God of Jerusalem.

There are times in life when we find ourselves on the mountain top and it's absolutely great.   However, being on the mountaintop for too long and we need to be careful because pride can set in.

Its in the times that we find ourselves in the valleys (going through the trial) that we come to realize just how unimportant or unessential we really are.   We become tired, and weak.  We feel empty and alone.  We feel pressures from every side and hopelessness or despair can easily look us in the face. I think we have all been there and it is in these times that we CALL OUT TO GOD for help and we find that he is right there with us!

This God that we serve - I want to share with you today that HE is the God who is present with you on the mountaintop and many times in life - he will set you there for you to enjoy it.  :)

But he is also God in the valley.   When the trials come and you don't know where else to turn.   You turn to him and you find that he is with you and will not leave you.  He will lift you up carry you with his love and guidance right out of that valley.

Never believe for one moment when you are going through a trial that you are alone - you are NEVER ALONE.  He is our ever present help in times of trouble, nothing scares Him away and there is nothing - NOT A THING - that He cannot handle for you.

Below is a beautiful explanation  (and the actual song) to the song "Hills and Valleys".  Click on it and enjoy!

‘May the Lord bless you
    and protect you.

May the Lord smile on you
    and be gracious to you.

May the Lord show you his favor
and give you his peace.’   Numbers 6:24-26
