Today Is The Day

READ:   2 Corinthians 6:2  For he says, "In the time of my favor I heard you, and in the day of salvation I helped you." I tell you, now is the time of God's favor, now is the day of salvation.

I remember as a little girl telling my mom that I was going to invite my grandfather to church.   My grandfather was the kind of man who couldn't speak two sentences without using a curse word.    As a young girl I had a burden in my heart for him.     I walked out the back door and made the trek up the path two houses away to my grandparents home.  I went in and visited with them and then proceeded to get to the reason I was there --- my invitation that I had rehearsed over and over in my head on the way there --- was now ready to be presented.

Much to my disappointment, my grandfather turned down my invitation to go to church with us.  The reason that he gave us was, "if I walked into a church, the walls would cave in".  He was serious too.  Grandpa thought he was "too bad" of a man to ever be forgiven.

Do you know people who think they have committed a sin or lived a hard life to the point that they can't be forgiven?   Maybe that person is YOU who thinks that way.    I want to tell you today that YOU CAN BE FORGIVEN.  There is no sin that is too great that the blood of Jesus is not greater still.

The Word of God tells us that TODAY is the day of salvation.... not tomorrow.... but TODAY.    Even the youngest, heathiest person on this planet is not guaranteed that they will make it through tomorrow.    Our life is but a vapor... a flower... it's here one day and gone the next.

BUT our spiritual man will live on forever and ever.....   where will your spiritual man reside?    I plead with you today, don't be like my grandfather and go out into eternity without repentance of sin and turning to Jesus.    There is NOTHING that you have done, no sin you have committed, or wrong choices you have made that could be unforgivable.  Remember how Jesus forgave the criminal on the cross. . . his love and forgiveness extends to everyone.

I am going to ask a favor.  There are lots of people that we know (friends and family alike) who do not know Jesus as their Savior and Lord.  They are living their own life, making their own choices, and some even feel that they are too bad to be forgiven and set free.    Share this message with them today - use the share buttons and put it on social medial or email it to someone that you love and care about.  Spread Jesus....   Spread love.....  <3
